While traveling in Italy, we experienced an outstanding caprese salad featuring vine-ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and, on the side, a mix of fine olive oil, tangy balsamic vinegar and spices. Inspired by that dressing, we created our own version, one that's delicious in its simplicity and great with greens or grilled veggies.
