





Origin
Egypt Lemongrass is a genus of about fifty-five species of grasses, native to warm temperate and tropical regions. It is a popular herb in Thai and Indian cooking. Lemongrass, or Cymbopogon Citratus, is primarily harvested for its flavorful lower
stalk and contains minerals like potassium, iron, zinc, calcium, copper, manganese and magnesium.
Citral
Lemongrass contains the flavor constituent citral, which is responsible for most of the lemon scents and flavors in nature, including that found in lemon fruit, lemon balm, and lemon verbena. Citral is regarded to have antiseptic, antibacterial properties.

Refreshing, cool and crisp flavor. Spicy, lemony aroma.
Suggested use
Brewing
Brew two levels teaspoon of leaf per sixteen ounces water. We recommend using fresh spring water around 175°F. Steep for five minutes.
