Black Spiral is a full-bodied, malty, gold leaf black tea. It is rolled into a characteristic spiral shape and is notable for its prominent gold tips. Only certain tea plant cultivars have the ability to transition into a golden color during leaf processing. Golden colored leaves generally provide more honey texture to the brew.
Season
Although the best season for drinking Black Spiral is during summer, it is a very hardy tea and keeps well over the months.
Flavor Profile
Very buttery texture similar to honey, full-bodied, sweet potatoes flavor with subtle roasted undertones.
Brewing Suggestions
Brew two teaspoons of leaf in twelve ounces of pure spring or filtered water at 185ºF for four minutes. Provides at least two infusions.
