Glucosamine and chondroitin are integral parts of every joint in your body. They are present in articular cartilage and synovial fluid within the joints. Glucosamine provides a foundation for compounds called glycosaminoglycans (AKA proteoglycans), which are major components of cartilage. Like glucosamine, chondroitin may help support normal, healthy levels of proteoglycans, but it also helps support healthy levels of hyaluronic acid, which may in turn support healthy synovial fluid levels. Chondroitin may also affect the way chondrocytes (cartilage cells) cause damage to the cartilage matrix. Vitamin C supports joint health because of its vital role in supporting healthy collagen within joints. Manganese helps support healthy levels of certain amino acids needed for healthy collagen. Since neither glucosamine nor chondroitin are present in significant amounts in a normal diet, a daily supplement of at least 1500 mg and 1200 mg may be beneficial to help support joint health.

Adults - Take two tablets daily, preferably with food, as a dietary supplement.
