Frontier Co-op® Organic Nutritional Yeast offers a robust, nutty, cheesy flavor — it's a versatile pantry staple for any kitchen, especially for vegan and dairy-free recipes. Use it as a substitute for Parmesan, add cheesy flavor to sauces and dips or sprinkle over snacks, veggies and sides. It's a good source of B vitamins, too.
This is a primary grown nutritional yeast from pure strains of Saccharomyces cerevisia, cultivated on a beet molasses substrate. The yeast is deactivated through a process of harvesting, washing, pasteurizing and drying with heat. Unlike baking varieties, this yeast doesn't act as a leavening agent. Instead, it adds texture or a pungent, nutty taste to recipes and snacks.
Suggested use
Sprinkle onto popcorn and pasta, or add to seasoning blends, sauces or soups. Use in pasta dishes and baked entrees such as dairy-free macaroni and cheese.
Other ingredients
Organic yeast flakes (organic yeast autolyzate, organic rice flour, sea salt).
